The diving was superb thanks to our wonderful guides, Cyrstal and Senna. All in all our trip to Bonaire was fabulous! We had a great time! The staff fo the Divi Flamingo were friendly, curteous and helpful. The location of the resort is awesome! Literally a five minute walk for the shops, dining and sights of Kralendijk! The town is very lively in the evening and when the cruise ships are docked. However, a suggestion would be that the shop carry a couple of weight pockets for purchase. That's a tall order for a group of 14! I have been diving all around the world and I must say that the diving staff at the Divi Flamingo is Top Notch! I would also like to give kudos to the Dive Shop that were able to get 100s for my husband with a slight upcharge. There was always something new to see and they found it! They took our feedback into consideration and tried to find places to dive that we would all enjoy. What we were there to do was DIVE! The diving was great!!! Mainly because of our Dive Guide, Cystal and our Boat Captain, Senna (who also took us on a couple of dives) - they were awesome! Crystal and Senna were always helpful and professional! They were great guides and knew where the the diving was happening. I was surprised! I did not visit the casino so I can not speak to that. The safe in the room was not working and maintenance was at my doorstep within ten minutes. The staff did their best to make you comfortable. The bathrooms and beds were cleaned, changed and replenished daily. However, they were on the floor for the remainder of the trip. Who knows how long they had been there! We do not make a habit of eating in our room, so they weren't ours. However, we did find a handful of loose cheerios beneath a chair. However, the cheesecake was to die for!!! The wait staff were fabulous and did everything in their power to make your experience awesome! Our room had a great view! We were literally looking out over the ocean! We could also see the dock and the boat we would be diving from for the next several days.
The food was not 5 Star Michelin rated cuisine but, it was good. The drinks were stro and the food was good. The Chibi Chibi had upcharges on some meals). All drinks and meals were included (except nights when the buffet was closed.
I traveled to Bonaire with my husband but, also with our group of 34 other divers! The diving and service at Divi Flamingo was awesome! We purchased an all-inclusive package. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Īs our flight back home was in the late evening and checkout time is 10am we were able to have a shower in the fitness centre ,late afternoon which is most welcome. We used the swimmming pool (one nearest reception ) which is a reasonable temperature with plenty of sun beds and it’s near a lovely tropical garden. There is the house reef right in front of the hotel which is very convenient for a snorkel. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere especially in the evening. We had 2 evening meals here which were nice and tasty. The Chibi Chibi restaurant is the small one which is not open every day. We had the Asian buffet one evening which was very good. We had the buffet breakfast which was fine with plenty of choice. If you have large suitcases you have to unload them and store them away to give you room to move around. The room had 2 beds and a nice bathroom ,but the room is quite narrow. It faces west so great view of the sunset Stayed 4 nights. Stayed here in the rooms which are right on the rocky beach.
